Insert pithy quote about winter here (x). Because that is just what it is... pithy outside. Our first official winter storm I suppose and I am trying to avoid the inevitable traffic chaos outside by putting off leaving the office until a bit later on (I should probably be working diligently or something). Probably won't make a lick of difference but sometimes one has to divert from their daily habits (hey, variety is the spice of life as someone once said) even if it's only the route home at the end of the day. Pulling another from the archives, with some gratuitous tarting up, because it was always a fave that never got posted and well, just because I can and oh yes, I am between cameras... there's that pithy bit too. And for those googling "pithy" and I know there will be some ... this entire post will only serve to pith you up completely. Best to just duck and run with this one.

and here's hoping 2012 will be out of this world for everyone. It's not been a particularly spectacular 2011 personally (as evidenced by my lack of visibility around here) - real life has a way of reminding you about your priorities to family, work, and myriad responsibilities and somehow the "creative" side of you finds itself lost and last in line. Don't get me wrong, it's not been all bad, but yes, there have been disappointments, not always unexpected sad to say... some have been my own choices and some have been the choices of others...nevertheless, time to wipe the slate, time for forgiveness, kindness instead of anger and time to look ahead to new beginnings in all manner of things. As always, thanks to all of you for your inspiration and for sharing your creativity which I've definitely been observing and enjoying tacitly when time allowed.

Lastly, some words from the late Jack Layton which resonate strongly as we all sit and reflect on the year that's about to end and what lies ahead for us all in 2012... five simple sentences, thirty simple words... I am thinking, words to live by and may we all find the courage, strength and tenacity somehow:
