Dairy Milk Bar Cake
Now this is my kind of cake!!!!!
So.......we have a friend coming over today and I promised him I'd make a cake, I hope he likes it! Just loved making this...such fun!
This is a rich, moist chocolate sheet cake, carved and filled/covered
in buttercream, the chocolate chunk end is covered in chocolate
fondant (well obviously!) and the other side covered in fondant. The
foil looking part was dusted with Rimini coloured lustre and silver
lustre, as for the label the fondant is purple/blue with hand cut
lettering (Dairy) and the rest was painted on freehand....as you can
tell LOL!!!
The few individual chunks are also cake covered in chocolate
fondant......Will has already said they are his! LOL!

OMG - when I first saw that I though "why's somebody posted a picture of a bar of dairy milk?" - its so realistic its amazing.

Everything about this is fantastic...the colour of the wrapper, the blocks of chocolate, the lettering...Cadbury don't even write that well!!!!....:O))

Well I agree with all those before me! Incredible work! How you got the paste so perfectly smooth over each 'piece', and all the wonderful details. Just amazing!
Can I ask, the lustre you use is it just dusted on dry? If so I need to get some I have to mix mine to a paste and paint to get such a lovely finish!

yes, I dusted it on dry, I loaded the brush
full of lustre and dusted thickly making sure
the other areas of the cake were covered with
clingfilm.
