Eastern Red-Spotted Salamander/Newt

Eastern Red-Spotted Salamander/Newt

None of these three shots of this salamander/newt are as good as I would like them to be. There wasn't a lot of light, so there's some blur. I had to use a flash on this top one because he was hiding from me. I'm surprised I didn't get a shot of him holding his stretched out claw (would it be called a claw?) up to my camera lens because I kept following him. LOL I must have looked like the paparazzi to him. LOL I was at an overnight camp with my 8th grade students who were doing a "team building" activity while I was pursuing this guy. Anyway, even though these shots are far from perfect, and are too out of focus for my satisfaction, there are still things I like about these captures. So, I'm uploading. it's the middle of winter and I'm not shooting a lot, so I have to rely on the archives. And because I was so sick at the height of the best time to take pics, I'm running out of shots to post!

Taken in Blairstown, NJ.

PS. OH NO!!! Picnik is going away in April!!! That's how I put my watermark on my photos! Can anyone out there give me lessons on how to EASILY put a watermark on my photos? I save my photos in iPhoto (I know....not professional). I HAVE Lightroom 3, but I'm finding it very daunting and don't really know how to import yet, from iPhoto to Lightroom. You'd think it would be so easy, but it's so not. I downloaded something called iWatermark, but not sure how to use that either. :/ I just want to put my watermark on my photos! Shouldn't have to be a huge deal! And actually, I'd really like to have a really pretty watermark. My cousin and I are working on a design. I will take any and all advice!

Bokeh Version of Stained Glass Christmas Tree

Bokeh Version of Stained Glass Christmas Tree

Uploading two other versions of this pic. This is the bokeh version. The other was from the "first batch" of shots I took of this tree, on that first night. It's cropped. It was also taken hand-held. The lights have a slightly different quality from the first version I uploaded.

Opinions? Preferences? What do you think?
