Sad.
In the thumbnail, this looks like a frowny face.
But the good news is some towns are getting help.

Yes, it's very sad. It seems the smaller the town, the worse it is.

So pitiful to see how the American Dream has been outsourced while our small town way of life has eroded into oblivion...small towns and small businesses have always been the heart of American life but it is all quickly fading away...and morals and ethics with it... : (
This is an excellent capture, Tom...it's so good to preserve these scenes before they are flattened for some new corporate something...

It would be so cool if they would just repaint the side of that building so you could see the ad again and work on the front with a little paint to restore it to the way it used to look. That would be awesome. :) Good shot!

What a beautiful sign. Such art. Glad you snapped it before it was gone.

Small town America is going away all over...Most of the little towns in my corner of Texas are on their way out.

It is so sad. I haven't completely understood why everything has to be in the big cities.

With curtains in the window, it appears someone is living upstairs. Wonderful paint work.....but I know how you feel when you see this.....glad it is still there in it's antique condition, yet sad too....

Thanks Kay, I noticed the curtains too. I can't really tell if anyone actually lived there, tho!

As you know Kay and I love to seek out small towns and the treasures they have to offer, reminders of how it used to be in a simpler time and place. This is a bittersweet shot my friend:)
