Each of the orchestra members is exquisitely detailed
It's origins are even more amazing. The anonymous artist was(and still is) a teenager in prison.The Koester Trust goes into prisons and encourages inmates by getting them involved in art as a creative outlet.
I saw this sculpture in the Royal Festival Hall, South Bank, London yesterday after seeing the Lost and Found Orchestra, a 30 strong troupe of musicians who make music out of everyday objects like cruches traffic cones and drink dispenser water bottles.
If you have seen the show Stomp then you will know what I mean. This is the same team of guys but its bigger badder and now melodic as well as rhythmic. Right up my street!!
