Long exposure on the shore of Lake Superior. Even though this was back in October, I still got pretty cold out there taking this.

There usually seems to be half a dozen or so cormorants perched on these posts. A few of them stayed very still throughout the long exposure.

We headed up to the Clifton Observatory overlooking the suspension bridge for a nice vantage point. Unfortunately it was too windy for any balloons to launch, but it was still great to see this display.

I used this as an excuse to try out my new welding glass (not so) neutral density filter. Seems to reduce light by about 14 stops and the results are not bad for the £2 investment I made into it :)
