Lake Hodges bonzai
Yellow boat dawn
I saw this image 3 days in a row as I was headed South on 101 near Sausalito, Ca.
The first day, I was late to meet my editor, so I passed up the shot (NEVER do that!).
The second day, I got off the freeway, headed in the opposite direction and got off again , only to have the image vanish in the changing light before I got to where I wanted to shoot it.
The third day, I left 1/2 hour earlier than usual and waited at the appropriate spot until it appeared.

morning sun creeping across the lake
The morning sun edges its way across the lake seemingly driven by the little waves created by a small boat traveling along the opposite shore.
