pastel Hodges morning
A friend asked me 2 days ago to make a print of this photo. I had forgotten about it completely. I shot it 8 years ago with his Nikon digital. He loaned it to me for a few days in an effort to get me to start shooting digital. I was still using an OM-1 film camera at the time. It was tucked away in a deep, dark corner of my hard drive.

Yellow boat dawn
I saw this image 3 days in a row as I was headed South on 101 near Sausalito, Ca.
The first day, I was late to meet my editor, so I passed up the shot (NEVER do that!).
The second day, I got off the freeway, headed in the opposite direction and got off again , only to have the image vanish in the changing light before I got to where I wanted to shoot it.
The third day, I left 1/2 hour earlier than usual and waited at the appropriate spot until it appeared.
