Black-Crowned Night Heron

Newer Older

I sure was surprised when I was walking through one of the trails at San Joaquin Wildlife Preserve today..and this night heron flew above..I was able to get 3 shots before he was gone...pretty exciting for me..as I only just saw my first night heron a couple of weeks ago at Bolsa Chica...and then .. couldn't get good shots..as they seem to like to hide out in heavy branches or tall grasses...

Used "Heavenly" cloud textures from Glorious Nature Art Overlays and Textures Collection...

Happy Monday Blues....

What an experience to see one actually fkying. I've seen them once or twice and they were just hunkered down, motionless along the water's edge.
