Quincy had his second surgery on Thursday, April 23. Because of the size of the incision and the severity of the operation, the vet kept Quincy overnight. Now back home he is trying to get comfortable while still slightly drugged and in much pain. The cone doesn't help matters either.
Sorry for the graphic photo. Those are stitches with two plastic tubes sticking out of his side to assist in draining and to lessen the chance of infection. Unfortunately all the cutting is mostly for naught as there isn't much more we can do about the new tumors found under his muscle. In the meantime, he has some great pain medications and will be king of castle until we can come up with a possible way to cure cancer.
