shuttlecock

shuttlecock

The final mock up of a tournament cover made for the American Embassy School badminton tournament. The shuttlecock was originally shot on a black seamless in the vertical position. Several incents were placed directly behind the shuttlecock to create the smoke trail. Two flashes and a reflector were used for lighting. One flash was on camera right (strip box) with a reflector directly opposite to camera left. Note: as pictured, the top would originally be to camera right. The second flash was gridded with a 15 degree grid from the rear and directed towards the camera to back light the smoke. This shot is actually two different smoke trails merged together in ps.
