Santa Monica Pier at Night

Santa Monica Pier at Night

Trying something new now that I have some new camera capabilities. This was an impromptu night shoot, sans tripod. I wish I had arrived about an hour earlier when there was some twilight to add some interest to the otherwise black sky in this shot.

Santa Monica Rooftops

Santa Monica Rooftops

The upside of the only available parking spaces being on the roof is the view.

You can see the marquis for the AMC Criterion in the center of the image, a little below halfway down from the top. That's the Thrid Street Promenade.

There are two mountain ranges in the shot. On the horizon are the San Gabriel Mountains, and at the left-hand side are the Santa Monica Mountains.

Just right of the center of the image, above the rounded black window is the Century City skyline.

Audi A4 on Little Sycamore

Audi A4 on Little Sycamore

This is my favorite turnout on Little Sycamore Canyon.

The car is pretty dirty, but you wouldn't know it from this shot.

Scion FRS concept

Scion FRS concept

I think that the Scion FRS looks more aggressive than it's cousin car from Subaru, the BRZ. The Scion has the same side view mirror pods with cameras in them, but they are more sculpted on this car. Also, the glass was not completely blocked, enabling you to see in the car a bit.

Overall I'm guessing that the Subaru will be better handling, and the Scion will be more stylish.

This photo is from the 2011 LA Auto Show.
