Buick Roadmaster.

This is an image I downloaded off the internet at some point. I think maybe when I was working on the 1:18 scale Buick Convertible I have.

This is or was one of Jay Leno's rides. At least, I think that's what it said.

So, i was looking at it and started wondering about some custom rims and lowering a bit more. I guess I was thinking along the lines of Cadzilla's wheels which look similar to original hubcaps. Maybe not, but, that's the idea behind this. The wheels would be large aluminum wheels, polished to a brilliant shine of course. The center flipper part would be the hubcap, or at least attached to the hubcap so it would look original, but still custom. The tires would be smaller sidewalls with white walls.

Anyway, after playing with the wheels, I also added black to the rear quarter panel which was silver. Then adjusted the contrast and brightness.

This is a bit outside the box for me. I'm not used to doing anything that doesn't have loads of chrome or shiny paint.

So, the story behind this one. This was inspired by a song. I was trolling Youtube one day looking for different versions of Cher's "Dark Lady" I was trying to find a version that was like a remix with a dance beat. Well, I happened across this song called Dark Lady and when I played it I was captivated.

Anyway, after hearing this song, I got the creative urge to create a pirate ship scene. Of course, i see I left off the skull and bones flag! DAMN IT! But, if you look at the full size version I gave it a little pizzaz on her ass.

I found an old drawing of a pirate ship online, then combined the sky and sea from two other images. After doing the photoshoping of the Pirate ship i put it all together. Turned out better than I'd expected, but not as good as it really could have been.

Playing with the lighting and illumination is something I'm hoping to become an expert at. Not sure if I "nailed' this or not. The sails are supposed to be reflecting and absorbing the light from the lightning. and the other parts of the ship are supposed to be reflecting the lightning as well. The only place not illuminated by lightning in this image is the back. That's supposed to be illuminated by the Keel? lights

Am I the only one who thinks Jake and Woody are long lost twins???
