Horseshoe Bend

Horseshoe Bend

I HATE heights.

By the way, this one comes out of 7 pictures stitched together. Open it in high definition to get a glimpse of all the details.

Blue Angels

Blue Angels

Happening to be in San Francisco for the 2011 Fleet Week proved to be a lucky coincicidence. Lots of planes flying up and down between the Golden Gate and the Bay Bridge, leaving what someone would probably call chemtrails (:-D) in the sky.

The heart attack I almost had when one of this guys passed over the Coit Tower at extremely low altitude & extremely high speed, on the other hand, hasn't been so lucky, but at least it gave me a couple of chances to get decent pictures.

Antelope Canyon - Detail

Antelope Canyon - Detail

I loved the contrast between the details on the walls of the canyon, and the blur of the background in this one.

Also, I have to say the walls looked particularly fragile, as if they were made of sand.

Ray of Light

Ray of Light

When we got to Antelope Canyon we didn't have a single hope to see one of the world famous rays of light touching the ground. Our guidebook said they can be seen during summer until the 7th of Ocobter.

Apparently, the guidebook was wrong.

I admit that it's not a VERTICAL ray of light, as in the most famous pictures of this place; also, usually there are no people in those pictures. But still, I can assure you the sight was well worth the 25 $ and the 20 minutes of back-breaking dirt road.

GO see it. It's an order.

Road To Nowhere

Road To Nowhere

This is hands down one of the most fascinating places I've seen in my entire life.

Miles and miles of absoultely nothing, interrupted here and there by the occasional house, which makes me wonder: what the hell do they do if they need to buy some milk?! Do they driver the four hours trip to civilzation and back?
