Playing around with scanning some really old, expired Kodachrome. I shot this two years ago on my Minolta X-700 using some old Kodachrome 25 that expired in 1992. The age led to a fair magenta color cast and possibly strengthened the grain some. Testing out VueScan 9 and scanning directly to DNG with "RAW" scanner data. Not the same as true digital RAW, but still seems to work much better in Lightroom 4 than 48-bit TIFF files. Not quite happy with the process yet, but Kodachrome is renowned to be a PITA to scan. And the age effects on the slide didn't help the quality either. But the image looks 200% better projected, even with the magenta cast.
Image is of my father doing what he seems to like the best, gardening.
