During my recent visit to Munich, we went on a trip to Garmisch to see the alps. It was a perfect, blue day for much of the day. By evening, it became cloudy and rained all during the trip back. Still it was superb. The little houses are for storing hay.

A view of Munich in late afternoon. Near Marienplatz is a church that lets you climb to the top of its steeple (for 3 Euro). While the climb is tough, the reward is excellent as it offers a lovely 360 degree view of the city.
