Watercress Line Large (040)

West Country class 34007 Wadebridge runs into Ropley with a short service train. The weather was pretty grey and awful on this day and so getting even a remotely decent exposure was quite difficult.

Modern Image Large (328)

Now a rare sight on the network are the class 56 locomotives. Built initially by Electroputere in Romania, they suffered from build quality issues and so the remainder of the 135 strong fleet were built by BREL at Doncaster and Crewe. One of the few surviving mainline registered examples belongs to Devon And Cornwall Railways (DCR) and is seen here working light engine through Stowmarket.
