This NASCOM-2 was built (and significantly expanded) by Alec Stansfield in the late 70s early 80s. It was acquired by Howard Smith in May 2012 and adds to his collection of NASCOM "digital archaeology".

Smith also built a NASCOM in the late 70s, which has recently been successfully restored to working order. On the 12th May 2012 it was successfully re-booted.

Smith similarly aims restore Alec Stansfield's NASCOM back to working order. A preliminary investigation, however, shows many corroded parts.
