It's been a busy month! I've always considered Fall as the mark of a new year, probably because it is also the time when each new school year begins. No I am not back in school but I did move, and every move is always an educational experience!

I saved for a couple of years to get a Panasonic LX3, then a few weeks after I buy mine, they release an LX5...it could bug a person.

That said, this is a really cool camera, and when used in RAW mode it produces nearly the same image quality as a d200...good enough! It has taken me about 20 years, but I have found a camera that I can't complain about: 1) its small and light 2) not too expensive 3) ah heck I'd be happy with anything that works really....there are too many cool cameras out there!

I went looking for dragonflies about three weeks ago and this frog found me instead. Sometime we just have to roll with the changes... 'Forgot the tripod, shady light...ok, iso 3200, shoot wide open....shortest lens is 200mm...alright, bracket focus until the eyes are both sharp'....30 shots later one was sharp and I liked it and this is it.

In many cultures frogs represent transition and are a symbol of opportunity within changes that may seem hard on us. Frogs start off as 'fish', then they sprout legs, then arms, then breath air, and then they lose their tails, and all this stuff happens within a few weeks. They have no idea all this is happening to them but they do it.
