The Male's Eye

The Male's Eye

This portrait of my eye was quite hard to take and at the end I realized using a mirror would have been better. Instead I connected my 40D to Eos Mov Record and live view appeared on my monitor and I could see my eye and know if it is in/out of focus.

Fly macro

Fly macro

Testing out how close I could get to a fly without it getting away so I reversed my lens and got about 4cm away from it before it got annoyed. Best to view this one in large on the link below to see the awesome detail of the eye.

Climbing

Climbing

One from a few days back, hard to capture these guys because they never stay still though this one was browsing the tree so I snapped away.

The only insect on a rainy day

The only insect on a rainy day

A simpler macro this time which is very well composed. I took this shot very quickly and was lucky enough to have all the settings pre-set in manual mode from last time (the great aperture gave me a nice Depth of field).
