It's not Yoga, it's meditation by a peaceful buddhist group called
Falun Dafa. Chinese authorities give them a terrible time on the
mainland. They are just about tolerated in Hong Kong, a city that
claims to allow 'free speech'. Though police behaviour during the
Olympic Torch relay last week was embarrasing. (info by

In Taiwan they're pretty much accepted (maybe because they're at odds with China). There's a temple just up the road and the other day they had a big celebration at one of the old temples in town. It was very unusual for Taiwan, people were dancing, chanting and healing in public. Most people are quite private about their religion here.
