NASA 905 making a final low pass over LAX International Airport with Shuttle Endeavour. Not the shot I went for, not the shot I planned for, but it is what it is. Lesson? Stick with your gut and put yourself where the shot is.

lol Joe, had the same thing happen to me when I was up at Dulles for Discovery... every official I asked said "oh, theyre going to land on 1C, you wont be able to see it from the museum..." But of course they land on 1R for the taxiby photoop of the terminal, ooh was I pissed that I missed the tiresmoke shot, but I did get some unique angles of the couple flying by the towers for my publication.

Congrats Joe. Great shot as usual. I know how you feel. Trent and I had a heck of a time trying to decide where to go to catch the shuttle. We ended up at the beach west of LAX, and wonder if we could have gotten better shots at another spot.
