Meeting point for many citizens of Madrid, and emblematic place at Puerta del Sol. One can always feel much life in this place, no matter what moment of the day it is, or the time of the year.

¿Qué son la una sin la otra? Son curiosas esta vida, y nuestra naturaleza humana. No es sino con una buena combinación de luces y sombras, como se comunican mejor las cosas. Es un contraste que aún hoy no puedo comprender completamente.

What is one without the other? It's surprising, this life, and our human nature. It's not but with a good combination of lights and shadows, how things are best communicated. It's a contrast that still today I cannot fully understand.

La forma de ser de una cultura, frecuentemente se disfraza, o se viste, en sus tradiciones. Son estas las que se conocen, pero es lo que hay detrás la parte interesante, e importante. En este caso, la alegría se transmite en los colores de esta tradición, de los abanicos.

Pero, sin duda, no sólo se trata de la cultura. Sino de nosotros mismos. ¿Cómo vestimos? ¿Qué costumbres tenemos? Por ello nos conocerán. Por ello nos damos a conocer. Siempre hay algo que nos destaca a cada uno, un color, una alegría, ... siempre hay algo especial. Y siempre lo mejor es descubrir ese fondo humano.

The way of being of a cultre, often disguises, or dresses up, with its traditions. It's these what are known, but it is what lies behind what is the most interesting, and important. In this case, happiness is shown through the colors of this tradition, of fans.

But, without doubts, it's not only about culture. But about ourselves. How do we dress? What habits do we have? By them they will know us. By them we show up to everyone. There's always something nice about each one of us, a color, a happiness, ... there's always something special. And the best es always to discover that human fact.

Is it so easy to distinguish one from the other? Where's the limit between them? Are silence and waiting an indifference? ... or is it hope?

There's no other way than having quite a clarity of mind, it's knowing what's behind of what can be seen, getting into a sort of deepness. Deepness into human's soul. The best clarity of mind isn't that of the intelligence, though it is much needed. Intelligence is just the way. The target is something different.

But, ... what is it?

¿Es realmente fácil distinguir una de otra? ¿Cuál es el límite entre ellas? ¿Son el silencio y la espera una indiferencia? ¿... o es una esperanza?

No hay otra forma de saberlo sino el tener una buena claridad de mente, el saber qué hay detrás de lo visible, yendo a una profundidad. Una profundidad al alma humana. La mejor claridad de mente no es esa de la inteligencia, aunque es muy necesaria. La inteligencia es tan sólo el camino. El destino es algo distinto.

Pero, ... ¿qué es?

We live always loaded with things and complications. Many of them we choose them ourselves, and the others, we always have a degree of freedom as to be able to choose. Always. Even with these, a rest isn't simply to stop or to slow down. It's more the fact of remembering a simplicity of life, and to simplify ourselves. It's curious, that all religions in the world share this in common: to simplify. Simplicity of life isn't at all an ilusion or a tale.
No matter which are our loads in life, a rest is more than convenient, and more if we do so at a pleasant place where to go for a walk.

Vivimos inmersos en un montón de cosas y de complicaciones. Muchas nos las buscamos nosotros mismos, y a las que no, siempre tenemos un grado de libertad como para poder decidir. Siempre. Aún con todas estas cosas, un descanso no es simplemente parar o frenar. Es más el volver a recordar una sencillez de vida, simplificar cosas. Qué curioso, que todas las religiones del mundo coinciden en esto: simplificar. La vida de sencillez no es para nada una ilusión o un cuento.
Sean las que sean nuestras cargas en la vida, un respiro es más que conveniente, y más en un entorno agradable por el que pasear.
