The exhibition "A voz das Vítimas" (The Voice of the Victims) will be open on the premises of the old Jail of Aljube, Lisbon, between 14 April and 5 October 2011. It aims to evoke the history of the victims of the authoritarian regimen led by Salazar. Regimen's secret police PIDE repressed civil liberties and political freedoms in order to remain in control of Portugal.
