Angus's Garden (near Taynuilt):
Created in memory of Angus Macdonald, the journalist son of Neil and Betty Macdonald of Barguillean, who was killed by terrorists in Nicosia, Cyprus in November 1956 aged 28.
The Garden was established the following year as a memorial by his mother, and has been developed slowly since then.
This is a view on the garden and its Loch Angus from Betty's Bell. Betty Macdonald, Angus's mother, worked on the Garden for more than forty years (!!!). She was honoured herself when she reached 90 years of age with a memorial bell on the North West side of the loch by her son, Sam Macdonald, who continued the work she started.
