A brief storm and downpour hit Adelaide on Saturday the 28th of January. I thought the sunset would be good so headed down to Brighton beach and was rewarded with the sight that you see here. Hope you enjoy it, although there is nothing quite like being there!

Camera got a little bit damp on this one (was still raining a bit) but it is still working as it should. Unfortunately the reds aren't quite as good after the SRGB conversion, but this is about as close as I could get it to the pre-conversion stage.

I decided to try out my new Zebralight SC600 CREE LED torch last night, as I bought it specifically for light painting. I photographed a couple of things but the pushbike came out best.

This is a composite of three images, all 'painted' with the Zebralight, then blended together in photoshop.

I'm pretty happy with it for a first attempt, but will keep at it and hopefully get some better stuff as time goes on!

Unfortunately with the equipment I had I wasn't able to get the paint detail as I wanted. It is actually 'Coke red' and like Coca Cola, when light hits it a certain way the paint comes up with a red tint.

I will hopefully be able to re-shoot the car and next time I will use light painting which should bring out the colour.
