    Visit to Detroit, Michigan on November 23, 2011. We made the trip to visit the Detroit Institute of Arts.
    The Detroit Science Center is adjacent to the DIA and is also an excellent place to visit.

      Alas, the Detroit Science Center closed recently until it can raise the funds to pay off a massive debt. Not-by-coincidence, the head of the science center resigned abruptly. I've enjoyed the exhibits there and I hope they'll be able to reopen soon.

      I didn't bring the camera the one time I came here, Gary. It was 7 or 8 years ago. Unfortunately, the center is currently closed (see Maia's comment), which I hadn't realized.
