Koyoshi had her misedashi, or debut of as a new maiko, in which she wore her most formal kimono and presented herself to the ochaya (tea houses), okiya (geisha houses), and local stores to thank everyone for supporting her. During misedashi, a maiko will wear special kanzashi (hair ornaments) made of tortoise shell that is only worn for this special occasion.
