Before the Departure.

My old friend came up to visit the city. I regret that I didn’t spend as much time with her as I could have. I had a looming test that I had to prepare for right smack in the middle of her visit. All I could do was provide her a place to stay, while I studied my guts out. The last day came upon us so quickly, that I was wondering where it all went. We took some pictures before she had to say goodbye; as I then carried her luggage with her to the elevator. “I feel like I’m leaving you forever,” she said. That was sad to hear. I dismissed the thought and assured her that I will probably see her again when I go back home.
