reincarnated pasta boxes so far
I had a couple of empty pasta boxes and some tape. Next comes paper
and glue, then it's anybody's guess.

Thanks ladies! Once I get started, rearranging cardboard box parts gets kind of addictive.
eanie meany, you are the Queen of Recycled Villages, I'm thrilled that my wonky little houses caught your eye!

Great - love all the wee cubby holes, I wouldn't be able to resist filling them with bits.

great shapes, so interesting seeing work in progress ;0
LolliePatchouli (52 months ago | reply)
Oliveark, yes, it's all about"filling" the "cubby holes", isn't it? ( :
meplusmolly, I like the shapes too, thanks. I love seeing people's "work in progress" too.

Oh, for just one day of being a fly on your wall so I could watch you create magic like this. What an incredible art lesson this would be in the classroom!

I like how they lean slightly and the ones with the curvy roofs....♥

What a cheerful village!
LolliePatchouli (52 months ago | reply)
Thanks miss Tempel, I'm almost tempted to keep them as they are, but I also want to see them finished, so they'll get covered in paper.
Green Wellies (52 months ago | reply)
I thought they were finished. There's something medieval or old-worldly about them as they are.
Threadstar (in and out) (52 months ago | reply)
Well.. I've always said I could live in a well appointed refrigerator box...but perhaps a well appointed pasta box is more to my taste? Love these!
LolliePatchouli (52 months ago | reply)
Green Wellies, I think they look "medieval" too, that's why I'm tempted to leave them "as is". ( :
Threadstar, when I read "well appointed refrigerator box", I was reminded of a childhood story about a man who lived in a piano crate. I always wanted a piano crate of my own, or a boxcar like The Boxcar Children" had, to decorated with odds and ends. Come to think of it, that's how I've always decorated the places I live, so I got my wish! Thanks for the memory jog, and thanks for liking my funny little houses.
Threadstar (in and out) (52 months ago | reply)
OMG that is sooo funny my neighbors had these giant crates from the military shipping their furniture and we played dress up and decorated those crates and made mud pies decorated with flowers..what a blast thanks right back. My house is like that too and deconstructed ..I took the drywall down and did the haphazard plaster and lathe strip bit! Welcome kindred spirit!
LolliePatchouli (52 months ago | reply)
Oh, you lucky girl! My "play houses" were huge flat boulders in a forest. Wouldn't it be great if we could go back and visit those places?
I didn't take my drywall down, I spackled over it. ( :
A welcome from a kindred spirit is much appreciated, thank you.

Hee hee, there really great, all you need is little puppets and there you have a puppet show.
LolliePatchouli (52 months ago | reply)
Thanks raggedy, I keep thinking of puppets or soft, chubby little "beings" to pop into the openings!

They're covered in layers of paper, gessoed, and waiting for the next step.
