60034 LORD FARINGDON at Leeds Neville Hill shed 22nd September 1961, the locomotive was been coaled under the hopper ready to work the 1902 FO Leeds to Newcastle train, the coal is almost out of gauge.

Built at Doncaster (Wks No 1877) and delivered as LNER No 4903 on 1st July 1938 she was renumbered 60034 on 23rd March 1948, withdrawn on 24th August 1966 she was scrapped at Hughes-Bolckow, North Blyth in January 1967.

After Christmas day dinner 1962 we had a walk down to Neville Hill shed, and were very suprised to find 92099, one of the ten locos used on the Tyne Dock to Consett iron ore trains, these locomotives were fitted with Westinghouse air compressors for working the hopper doors. Stood at the side of the locomotive are the three people who accompanied me on most of my train spotting trips during this period, my brother Vic, Peter (a fitter at Neville Hill) and Alan.

Built at Crewe (Order No E493) and delivered to Tyne Dock shed on 31st July 1956 she spent all her life there, been withdrawn in September 1966 and scrapped at Drapers in Hull in November the same year.

Wellingborough allocated ex Crosti boilered 92026 is seen on the ash pit at Holbeck shed Leeds 6th August 1961.

Built at Crewe Works (Order No E488) and delivered in June 1955 she was withdrawn in November 1967 and scrapped at G.H.Campbell Airdrie in April 1968.
