I am practicing sewing in zippers. Mostly because I'd like to have a million little pouches to keep things organized. I still kind of stink at it, but I am improving slightly. {This angle makes this pouch look better than it really is.}

I think it looks fine. I'm a fan of the Oh Frannson style, with the fabric covering the ends of the zipper so the metal stops don't show, but it looks like Elizabeth doesn't have that PDF for sale at the moment in her shop. If you're interested in it, I'd suggest maybe emailing her about it.
I don't know how many things I've got piled up in a cabinet because the zippers weren't just right. Or even close to right! So you're not alone! As far as the usual style of zippers goes, I think it looks just fine!
I love your tags, too! Are those foldable/2-sided labels, or are they just custom ribbon that you folded? I'm trying to figure out which is the more economical way to go...

I like the fabric covered end style too. I was just trying to do the least # of steps possible! Lazy. Those are woven tags. I have folded them over. But on clothing, I sew them in by hand flat/unfolded. I bought them at fancyweaver.com. I went with them b/c I didn't have to buy a huge bulk amt.

Hey there, this looks fine! But if you haven't already, try the tutorial at flossieteacakes.blogspot.com - includes fabric-covered zipper ends. Very simple!
