There was a big crowd in Del Mar for 4th of July. Barbs and I made it out too late because parking was very scarce. Luckily, we found a secret spot that few people know about. It's not quite the shot I had in mind but it will do.

Barb and I took a short day trip to Temecula and visited two wineries, Callaway and South Coast Winery.

I took this image while we were waiting for our first tasting. South Coast Winery has a really nice atmosphere with knowledgeable and friendly staff members that knew their wine. It was really busy today too.

South Coast Winery proudly displays all their awards on their walls from all their different wines.

My favorite wine of the day is the 2004 Wild Horse Peak Meritage which is 50% Merlot, 35% Cabernet Sauvignon, 10% Cabernet Franc, and 5% Petit Verdot.
