Multnoma Falls Upper and Lower

Multnoma Falls Upper and Lower

Better Large-The second largest constantly active falls in the US with a 600 foot drop from top to bottom in a beautiful grotto off the Columbia River in Oregon. Spring is great here!

A Delicate Comparison
(JHWatkins)

The poison of a nation is riding down its streets
Of broken bricks, crack collared manholes,
Potholes, sinkholes, and stink holes-
Done in by dead-end dragon deals,
Forgotten by twice dead politician magicians
Who made money disappear
Faster than rabbit-hatted clouds
In a summer desert.

With promises of thoroughfares and golden stairs
To young screaming squeezers-
Time bandits of the highways
Who robbed fifteen minutes from tomorrow
And lost today-

Demon-driven drivers,
Pushing, shaking blood pirates
Who ransomed their souls for gain
Then lost them to monkeys
That danced on their graves,

Passing their poison to unconscious offspring,
Who roared briefly with lion voices
Then shriveled in the sunlight,
Where they also died.

The strength of a nation
Is in the heart of its dreamers,
Who, filling their cups,
Overflow into streams of kindness
Or words of hope,
That hit the dayspring water life like
Glorious stones,

Create small ripples that become waves,
Sweep over valleys of
Tornadic tumbleweed junctions,
Fly over Olympus-faced, snow-traced,
Mountain sentinel forests,
And touch the golden-gated shining seas.

The strength of a nation is in its character,
And one word can stop a storm.

Hal and Bonneville Dam on Columbia River

Better Large-The king surveys his kingdom. I think he just spotted barbeque or free golf balls.

Star Wars Ninja Caffeine Workout

Star Wars Ninja Caffeine Workout

Better Large-Thank goodness we had the Droid2x availble once again. Working and hitting golf balls can sometimes wear me out and at night I have to unwind. One of my favorite ways to do this is a role playing Ninja workout regime that has never been publically seen before. In this picture I am on the left and my good friend Randy McCullohs is on the right...thankfully, he didn't have to wear a mask or put on a costume. Here, we go through one of the dangerous workout routines that fine turnes the mind and body! Sometimes, we just play ping pong. It makes me happy to think that one day my grandchildren will be able to see this and know exactly what I am all about! My wife and daughter think it is the caffeine. To me, it just goes hand-in-hand with the landscape photography. I had to snuggle a wookie to get the outfit. Also, I am happy to report that after being hit in the groin with a light saber, I have regained the use of all normal bodily functions after just a short two week healing period. thanks for all the well wishes......graininess added for film effect.

Exactly What Do Colors Do?

Exactly what do colors do?
They give us knowledge,
This is true.
Would you eat a black apple
Or blue stew?
Not me, how about you?
Could you bath in the light
Of a red sun?
Or see in the light of an orange
One?
You’d shrivel up
Like a raisin,
Not so much fun!
As a matter fact…
You would be done.

Exactly what do colors do?
They make things pretty…
At least…seem to.
They make things different
They make things fun…
Though sometimes
They make things
Ugly my son…
They tell us distances,
Just look at the stars,
They give meaning,
To things in jars-
Just look at the different
Colors of cars.

But in the end,
What they do,
Is make life better,
And easier…
I’m through!!!!!!

Colorado Springs Spring Gazebo

Colorado Springs Spring Gazebo

Better Large-Again, taken with a Droid 2x. I am very happy with the results we are getting with this handy device. It has more power than my first camera. Colorado Springs, Colorado in the springtime is beautiful with the backside of the Rockies and great weather. The mountains are still snow-capped as we travel all over the west with our delivery business.

Keeping The Colors Of Light I Saw (JHWatkins)

Keeping the colors of light I saw,
Hidden deep in my heart-
Here, chambered in silence they grow-
Where, watered by time they flow,
To places concealed at the start.

Each shade, a life of its own,
Gathering force like the wind,
Bursting with promise
And purpose renewed,
In heavenly dreams they ascend.

Returning to sources of similar schemes,
Gliding down currents of circular themes,
Reveried ideas of wondrous things,
Calling my mind to attend.

Revelation perpetually rose,
From comical cracks and poetry prose,
Fractured infighting,
Formidable foes,
Deceived by games they portend.

Up through atmospheres,
Right through the stars,
Backed-down multitudes,
Battered and scarred-
Groaning, condoning,
Conditions bizarre,
Where correctional forces contend.

Keeping the colors of light I saw-
Hidden deep in my heart-
Here, chambered in silence they grow-
Shaping the future with wisdom I know,
In places concealed from the start.
