9/11 Memorial Indianapolis
On my way home from the State Museum in Indianapolis today, I finally had a moment to photograph this. This is the Indianapolis 9/11 Memorial. The idea for this came from Indianapolis firefighter Greg Hess and was funded entirely by private donations. The beams, which are the centerpiece of this memorial, are actual beams from the Twin Towers. The eagle attached to the beam on the left, is actually facing in the direction of New York City.

Bluegrass on the Circle
Several musicians line the street corners of our great city during this Super Bowl Week, including this bluegrass trio I found entertaining a small crowd on Monument Circle.

Super City
In 2008, a tradition was started by the NFL that the roman numerals of that years Super Bowl be displayed in a popular part of the host city. In this case, it's Monument Circle, the heart of downtown Indianapolis. The numerals stand 30 feet tall, are 82 feet wide, and weigh 96 tons. The numerals also have built in LED screens and light up with different football related images at night.
