Back from the library- sat down to read about making soap.
I don't know if I'll ever make soap, but I dream about it.

Tonight when I snuggled in with N at bedtime, she asked me to scratch her back. I remember my own parents laying with me, scratching mine. They each had their own distinct methods, my mom with her soft long strokes and my dad with his style- sort of like her was playing the piano on my back with his nails. They each felt so good in their own consistant, reassuring way.

I wonder what kind of things they'll remember about us when they're grown.

Smart Soapmaking by Anne Watson. This is the first book I've read that made me think it would be no problem at all.
