So yeah, I wrote this -- or parts of it, at least, and edited the rest. You can find it on Amazon, or better, ask for it at your local book seller. Due out September 1st from Northern Illinois University Press.

Finally got a good photo of this bike now that it's more or less settled into its final configuration: Brooks B17, Velo-Orange Belleville bars, Tektro inverse brake levers, Velo-Orange 45mm hammered fenders over 28mm Panaracer Paselas, and ViVa bag support with an 11-liter Zimbale bag. Removed the large chainring and front derailleur since I don't ride fast or hard or flat.

The finally-rideable Peugeot project near a somewhat-French-colonial-looking house in University Heights. VO Belleville bars, silver Tektro inverse brake levers, and Brooks B17 are the new additions so far. This was the inaugural ride, and it performed flawlessly.

I have a Peugeot in the stable again, this time one that fits me and doesn't have a wonky fork. 60cm frame size, 700c wheels, 12-speeds. Over a very loooong period (as I can afford it), this will go from an entry-level racing bike to a town & country, all-purpose, very practical vehicle. Got a crazy deal on this.
