She returns to the nest, settles in and tries to get comfortable. Shortly afterwards she sits up and then settles in more comfortably.

The white on the swan in the sun is blown out but that's the price to pay for having the rest of the image approximately correctly exposed. Any tips for some improvement without Photoshop? I am too lazy to use the Lightroom brush tool

for all the fine detail here.

Note Sleepy head. All tuckered out after a swim around the little island they call home.

One of two families of swans I am watching on the River Shannon near the University of Limerick. There are at least another four cygnets under her. I estimate these had just hatched within 24 hours of this being taking.

They are on a little island on the river so it is difficult to get close enough to get a good shot.
