Wish Me Luck!

Wish Me Luck!

Well, tomorrow (or today, depending on when you view this photo), Monday May 28th, is the very first day of my new career!

Oh, and as for the photo itself, this is the beautiful Elbow River just past the Allen Bill Pond, heading towards the bridge you can see in the distance which you must cross to get to Elbow Falls.

I am excited, nervous, and a bit scared but am also confident that if I focus and apply myself all will work out well!

I obviously will not be on flickr nearly as much, but I am going to try my hardest to upload at least one photo a day and to also try to keep up with all your wonderful new works as best as I can, my dear flickr friends!

Have an excellent week, everybody!

Vivid & Tiny Pansy

Vivid & Tiny Pansy

Yay!

They have started to grow again!

Every year, over the summer, we get these amazing yellow, white, blue, lavender and black striped pansies, really, really small, like maybe as big as a fingernail full size, that grow in a bush on our backyard.

They are awesome, and tiny, and fabulous!

Today I was mowing the lawn and I came across one single, very tiny flower, growing up out of the grass, instead of the from the bush, all by itself!

So I carefully cut around it with the mower and then snapped some shots of it!

Hopefully this means there are more on the way!

Allen Bill Pond Overcast

Allen Bill Pond Overcast

A view of the other side of the gorgeous Allen Bill pond, just downriver from Elbow Falls and a truly wonderful and tranquil spot for fishing, hiking, and picnicking!

For a sense of the vast scale of the mountainous area involved here, look at the note in the photo above then check the photo I have posted in the comments below and you will see what I mean.

Elbow River After The Falls

Elbow River After The Falls

Here is the beautiful Elbow River just after it passes through Elbow Falls and continues it's long winding journey westwards towards the ocean.

This was taken from the highest point that you can get to on the Elbow Falls guided pathway without going off the official trail, which was dangerous to do that day because everything was covered in a sheen of wetness that made off-path climbing seem kind of dangerous.

Still, a very amazing view, I think!
