Ezra in his new pants-in-progress
First project for Elsie Marley's Kids Clothes Week Challenge. These are the Kneepad Pants from Made. It's a great tutorial. I ended up spending three hours on these and not finishing, but that's not because they're hard. It's because I spent like an hour being indecisive about the color and shape of the knee pads, instead of just following the advice of the pattern. As usual.( Blogged.)
Also, turns out the massive bag of elastic I inherited from my Grandma Ruth is all 1/2", so I need to grab some 1" tonight and finish the waistband and hem.
UPDATE: Done!

*grin* I love this picture...The way you are lifting him and his little dangling legs...your stance...it's just nice! So are the pants and the colors you ended up choosing :)

Thanks! That kid is such a ham for the camera.
I found this tutorial really easy to follow, and you're really making your own pattern, so no confusingly written directions or directions for other versions of garments mixed in like you get on commercial patterns.
