Steampunk Headset Hook (6 of 6)

    Build -

The doorknob plate had a brass collar for the doorknob shaft. I chiseled this collar off and used them as top and bottom flanges for the battery holder.

The battery holder is a copper T-joint from a plumbing hardware store. I cut a slot in it to fit it over lever arm and set it with a self tapping screw.

I decided to use a lever & fulcrum to counterweight the headset which weighted 1.1 oz. I use the weight of the battery to offset the weight of the headset. I felt a lever & fulcrum was a more adjustable than some kind of spring action.

The flashlight bezel/reflector had a flange which made mounting to the plate easy.

I used silicone adhesive to mount the LED into the flashlight reflector.
