      Delightful. What's better than striped socks or puppies? Puppies dangling from a clothesline IN striped socks.

      (I'm with gardengal. I'd have fallen to the floor of the antique store clutching this photo to my heart if I'd found this before you, signs&wonders!)

      Thanks all-- I honestly thought they were game birds when I first saw it and just liked the blending of the lines. I really only noticed it when I blew it up on the computer....I guess the reading glasses aren't working and my head is too much into light flares and double exposures... :)
