OK, so it's not very scientific. The film is different and the asa is different, the Hasselbad has a ND Grad darkening the blue of the sky, but this isn't a straight competition between the cameras it is an apreciation of both.
In the lower images there are good and bad points in each of the images, the Ziess (left) seems richer and seems to have controlled the highlights better but there is a red/magenta cast, the Hasselblad ( right) has more detail and a more realistic colour rendition.
I just thought it would be worth pointing out that even inexpensive old medium format cameras can produce images comparable to much more expensive kit.

Rotted Barn January - Zeiss

I have shot this barn quite a few times and felt that it was time to have a go at it with my old Zeiss camera.
Strange to think that since the camera I shot this with was made this barn has had time to be built, used and fall into disrepair whilst the camera goes on and is still as good as ever at what it was made for.

Bridges 2

Bridges 2

Hasselblad 500 C/M
80mm Carl Ziess Planar T*
Kodak Portra 400
Epson V700

The three bridges featured here are the M65 motorway bridge under which the shot was taken, the old barrowford road bridge which carried road vehicles travelling from Barrowford to colne and in the distance is the new Barrowford road bridge which was built at the same time as the M65 bridge as the path of the motorway required the diversion of barrowford road, this made the journey from colne to barrowford much easier as the bridge over the canal is only wide enough for one vehicle at a time.

On the same day at the same time from the same spot I took another photo of this scene with my Ziess Ikon Nettar 517/16 folding medium format camera loaded with Kodak Ektar 100
www.flickr.com/photos/felixspencer2/6703481155/in/photost...
and was very pleased with the result, so it was with some trepidation that I scanned this hoping for a result that would justify my Hasselbad. Although at first glance the scenes seem very similar I am relieved ( or my wallet is) to say that this is a more acomplished exposure as the highlights and the darkest shadows are much better controled in this shot, however this might be down to me using the new portra 400 to get this shot.
