The things ya need to do to get a little bit of help from ya mates.
I shot this way back in October 2010 on a trip to Canyon x with buddies Brad and Tim. It's been sitting on file since then cause one, I'm lazy, two, I needed help from Tim for some PS trickery and blending, and three, it meant that I would then owe Tim a favour which we finally got around to sorting on the weekend, he didn't even add any beer as a sweetener (and i still call him buddy?)

The result is 6 images stitched off raw by Tim. I've then tried all the other edits off the PSD file via my very limit and time saving basic skill set. In the end, I think it sits a little flat but I still love the colour we got that day which is what this post is all about.

The original included the cliff edge on the right but it also meant dealing with a major sun blow out so it's out. Oh well, it happens.

Nellies Wonder

Nellies Wonder

This triple play was a pleasant little find on our walk back up towards the main Bonnie Doon falls in Nellies Glen, Blue Mountains NSW.

This best part about this find was getting the angle for the shot on the moss covered and very slippery rocks. No, the best part was watching Tim slip into the water as he crossed the rocks. 2 foot deep hole, wet shoes and pants and 300m of very steep stair work to get outta the valley. I love those moments.

Solitary Cloud Maker

Solitary Cloud Maker

When Tim and I went up the mountains on the weekend it was because I wanted to revisit Malaita Lookout on the West side of the Three Sisters in the Blue Mountains. Takes us about an 1 hr to drive there in the early hrs, so it's not too difficult to make the trip.
We left home in fog and hoped to find Jamison Valley covered in that low cloud like you can see in the distance. Why oh why wasn't it all the way round like we wanted it to be. It's because Tim was there.
A pano crop, some colour temp and contrast boost, and it's about the best I got from this spot on that day.
My tri-pod mount had ceased so I couldn't fit my custom made pano head which is why the view doesn't include the Three Sisters which sit to the Left. Maybe next time I'll pack a vice and some multi grips, Tim will carry it there for me I'm sure!

Little Bonnie

Little Bonnie

Timbo and I went for a little stroll down a mountain on Sunday for a change of scenery. We ended up with finding a few small waterfalls that made for a fun adventure.

This is one of those falls. That's Tim in a white shirt taking shots of another cascade, just above the right hand flow.

This pano stitch crashed my computer every time I worked on it. That's why this one stayed on file till now.
