Prachuap Khiri Khan, Thailand--This tribe of dusky langurs live at the base of a sacred mountain that happens to be surrounded by a Royal Thai Air Force base on one side and the small seaside city of Prachuap Khiri Khan on the other. They are wild but not exactly free. They have been fed by the air force and the townspeople for a very long time and their population cannot be sustained by the mountain's resources and they have no place to go (see map). They are very gentle, playful and sweet natured. This particular young male is very used to my presence and is a great model.
