This was taken going through the Appalachian mountains. We we went through one tunnel and I knew it would be good for the assignment and was hoping we would go through another. I felt like the tunnel walls were really narrow and close to the car which made me feel all woozy, I wanted to try to translate that here. I also loved the texture of the walls.

I shot this when the sun was still high, I knew I would get a very saturated effect, this color was so intense I wanted to make sure it translated correctly. These are giant double doors, I wanted to shoot them both, but of course the one day that I go to shoot them one of the doors is wide open. It feels very Palm Springs to me.
