Sleeping Beauty Castle

Sleeping Beauty Castle

Two things I really liked about shooting the castle so early in the morning on One More Disney Day...the gorgeous morning light and the water being so calm it was like glass.

Carnation Plaza Gardens

Carnation Plaza Gardens

Here's another shot from the morning of February 29th, also known as One More Disney Day. I'm not sure why, but I had never photographed this area. In fact it seems it gets overlooked by most. Unbelievable considering its so incredibly photogenic!

Disneyland: One More Disney Day

Disneyland: One More Disney Day

This photo was taken the first morning during the first hour as the sun was rising. I must have passed by and photographed this location a dozen times throughout the day. I just couldn’t help it. With all the color from the flowers and the tree blossoms, who could resist?!

Disneyland: One More Disney Day - Sunrise #1

Disneyland: One More Disney Day - Sunrise #1

So as I'm sure you have heard by now, I attended One More Disney Day at Disneyland for Leap Day on February 29th. Yup, I spent a full 24 hours inside the gates at Disneyland. It was such a great experience with amazing photography and hanging out with good friends. I think for all of us, this was easily the best Disneyland experience ever.

I'm doing a series on Disney Photography Blog about the event so check back over the next couple of days for more photos and a little about my experience!

American Adventure Rotunda

American Adventure Rotunda

This week on the ISO5571 podcast we discussed composition. I briefly talked about this shot as we discussed the importance of getting everything lined up perfectly when using wide lenses. I also wrote about it at www.disneyphotographyblog.com. I spent a good 10-15 minutes composing this shot to ensure perfect symmetry. Thanks to Alan Rappaport for letting me borrow his fisheye lens for this one.

Thanks for looking! :)
