Just dropping in to say hello... Hello! As you can see, I'm alive & well... and eating my veggies! I'm also very, very busy, which is awesome. Heading to Florida soon with the paintball team for the World Cup - can't wait!! In the meantime, I have a ton of shoots to edit and am heading up north to catch the tail end of the colours. Hope you're doing well and loving life!!

Anyone who knows me well, knows I love a good challenge. In fact, very often, the words "I can't" make me forego all reason to find a way that "I can"!

On the Saturday night, after a successful day at the tourney, we were chatting about what kinds of images the guys like best. One of the guys told me not to bother getting images of him because (paraphrased) no one ever got images of him or they weren't any good.

Hmm...

Challenge accepted!

I saw this and I knew I'd risen to the challenge. In fact, less than a minute after I posted it to my Facebook page, he'd made it his profile picture.

WOOHOO!

Of course I should back up to say, I'd posted an image of him earlier, but my internet froze, so I had to bring it back up before I uploaded this second one. Turns out that the first image also made it to becoming his profile picture, but was quickly replaced by this one! Pretty sure that means I shot it out of the park....! :o)

Am off to shoot a cycling tour this weekend. I hope everyone else is doing well and has fun weekend plans!

FYI - that is NOT me and it is not fire.... it's an exploding paintball. I'm wondering if these guys are super heros because you'll see a couple of shots of them below, flying through the air.

Since June 21 is the longest day of the year, I decided I'd shoot both the sunrise and the sunset. Despite the fact the sunrise wasn't the most spectacular display I've seen, and the sunset was, well, non-existent, I was so happy with the day. This is mostly because I was pleasantly surprised with a thunderstorm!

Yes, I know what you're thinking - how often is one pleasantly surprised by a thunderstorm when they're out shooting? Usually you're running for cover. But I decided that since I was out, I might as well try something new!

For me, this was certainly one of the longest days. I was out the door at 4:10 a.m. and got home at exactly midnight.

So far, since the warmer weather has come, I have been out and shooting all sorts of things for clients... and in all sorts of places! From a local wedding and headshots to paintball in Kitchener and kayaking in the 1000 Islands, I have been all over the place and not felt like I've been home at all. My new motto is: I'll sleep later ;o)

Since some of you may be wondering if I'm still alive, I figured I should post something quickly to say - yes, alive & very well :o) Missing all of you, but I sure do hope you understand why I'm MIA. It's crazy to think that every weekend for the rest of the summer is pretty much booked!

I hope you're all loving life & having fun! I really am hoping I'll be able to steal a few moments away to drop in and see what you've been up to!

Well... I finally added to my little family. This is the first post from my Canon 7D! Of course I had to take a picture of one baby with the other ;o) Took a poll over on Facebook and he won.

Unfortunately, my model was in grump mode - perhaps because his Mum is paying too much attention to her new baby ;o) Thankfully, I was able to grab his attention because this thing sounds like a machine gun going off!
