well, perhaps at high tide they swam out
there with all their clothes and then fell
asleep and then . . . anyway...amazing shots
here! We have a rock called "Spray
Rock" which can be climbed at low tide.
Larry did it when he was here . . . I should
try and find the pic for you!
OMG... Jill... is this the Ritz Carlton at
the top? I have stayed here... if not, It
surely looks identical to where I stayed a
few years ago in Dana Point, California...
Stunning photo!
The people on the top of the rock climbed up
and took a nap..........then the tide went
out. So they need to wait for the tide to
come back in so they can get down.
LOve this composition! Usually when we have
been in Calif near the beaches there were
just so many many many people!! I love
capturing people tho because other wise the
perspective gets lost... that is a BIG rock!!
and the people on it make us KNOW it!!
For a moment I thought it was Ocean Beach
...that great expanse. Love the relative
emptiness of it. The tiny people atop the
giant rock ..... I just accept that most
people are far more athletic that I am or
ever was *~*
Gorgeous perspective in the other direction
too. The California coastline is
incomparable.

Looking the other way...

I was going to ask the same thing! It is amazing how much different the beach looks compared to here on the west coast of Florida.

Looks better looking the other way. But. The sky sucked equally in both directions.

awesome shot. great composition and love that you included those people on top of the rock. The red shirt of one of them is a bonus.

That is one large rock. Seems so out of place, but very darn cool.

The unique geology of the CA coast once again provided a great shot! These folks certainly got a piece of the rock!

of scale)!

A very cool beach scene, that took me a minute to realize they aren't actually on the rock (or at least I don't think they are). :)

Really like this view from above. You are right, it is interesting how few people will explore the area, even if for just a few feet.
