The Pismo Beach Pier is a local landmark on the Central Coast. We had a nice stroll along the beach prior to sunset, and I had hoped to get a "vanishing point" series of images under the pier. To my disappointment, the pier pylons are rather helter-skelter and not arranged in parallel rows. Nevertheless I like the long shadows on the sand. We didn't stay until sunset, as the fog was rolling in rapidly and the sun was just going to be swallowed up in gray with no colors at all - probably very typical of the summer weather pattern along this part of the coast in July & August. We'll be back in October for my daughter's wedding, and I've ordered up a spectacular sunset while we have her rehearsal dinner on a terrace above the beach :)

I like your processing on this one. The perspective from this angle is so very cool. Love the jumble of piers.

I really like all the lines from under the pier. Great perspective and shot, Jill.
