Spectacular town of Ronda, Southern Spain (Best viewed large)
View of Ronda with the XVIIIth. Century "New Bridge" -
Puente Nuevo and the Tajo Gorge, 150 metres down into the Guadalevin
River.
The Parador Hotel on the left and the Hanging Houses of the Tajo on
the right.
Perched upon a colossal rock, the sheer walls of the Tajo gorge
dropping almost 200 metres down to the river and the lush valley
below, encircled by mountains. The sight is like a mirage,
breathtakingly beautiful to the point of being almost surreal.

A memory of mine, too...I remember being told that during the Spanish Civil War, priests and nuns were tossed off those cliffs.

Im so glad you took the trip and found what is a fantastic spot to take the photo from. ( you,ve taught me a bit of history about Ronda as well!
The photo itself-Well its a wonderful "Watercolour" type study (And what a place to take it from! ) of what ,to me, was the highlight of our holiday tour.
